By no any means I am a fitness expert, I just would like to share a positive impact of resistance bands, also know power bands, on my daily life and exercise. I am not a pro or any kind of exercising enthusiast. I like sports in general and being on the move as much as I can, but I am not the kind of person who spends loads of hours in the gym or exercise every day. But I wanted to change it. You know it, there comes the point when you make a decision to exercise regularly, you get all kind of equipment and then what? …. you don’t even start. Or you do, but it lasts for few days, in a better case few weeks. And then all that brand new or hardly used equipment is forgotten in the storage cupboard. It was same with me. But … until I reopend the tube with the resistance bands. I used it once, twice and everyday. And you know what stretching and doing gentle exercise for only 5-10 minutes a day I can see the difference. Finally I can see that my tummy has actually some hidden muscles. What I surprise. What do I do?
Resistance Band or Power Band Exercise
I don’t workout much. I honestly only do 3 types of exercise, targeting tummy, tights and bum.
For tights and tummy I put the resistance band around my ankles, lift the legs few centimetres above the floor, lift the upper body that it looks like a bracket or cod and stretched the band 20 times with the repeating twice or 3 times, depends how I feel.
For better bottom, I roll up the band on my knees while I lay on the floor, bend the knees and while I lift the bottom from the floor I stretch the band to the side. And repeat it 50 times.
If I feel that I have an energy to do extra I come up with something else but most of the time it is only these. And with the healthy diet and few juices in a couple of months I guarantee you’ll see the difference.
Few Types of Resistance Bands
I got my a few years ago, so I have very basic in classic rubber. But even bands can develop a lot. From stiffness to material what are they made of. Also what do you like to use it for.
As I said I am not expert at all, so preferably I would leave that for others like Women’s Health who provided some types of exercise as well. And in the meantime you get your bands at Amazon where you can find any of the below for less then $20.
